Second round of results for higher education admissions announced in Oman

Muscat: The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation announced today the results of the second sorting of applications for admission to higher education institutions for the academic year 2020/2021.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The second sorting included 5,888 seats; thus bringing the percentage of offered seats for this year to 89.04. Students who have been offered seats in this sorting can register at their higher education institutions starting from 8 till 11 November."

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has offered this year 28,367 seats in various governmental higher education institutions, internal scholarships and grants in private higher education institutions, and external scholarships. The total number of students admitted to higher education institutions, internal and external scholarships for this year was 26,787, with 74 per cent successful applicants.

HEAC will announce the admission results for successful students in the second round of the General Education Diploma in the coming days
