Muscat hosted an important symposium addressing entrepreneurship and startups within the education sector today. The event discussed raising awareness of entrepreneurship in the modern university environment. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Shibli sponsored the opening of the symposium. He serves as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Higher Education. The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority organized the seminar in cooperation with government ministries.

The seminar targets officials of innovation centers, business incubators, and national investment funds. It aims to create a collaborative platform that brings together governmental, academic, and private sector leaders. They want to transform university innovations into successful startups capable of reaching the global market. Mr. Mazen bin Saif Al Busaidi serves as Vice Chairman of the Riyada authority. He noted that investing in entrepreneurship within higher education is an investment in youth.
