South Al Batinah Highlights Major Development Achievements

The South Al Batinah Governorate highlighted several major development and investment achievements today. Governor Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi met with Shura Council members representing the region.

This annual 2026 meeting strengthens community partnerships and integrates roles with citizen representatives.

Boosting Investment and Infrastructure

Officials awarded 15 new investment opportunities during the past year. These projects manage and develop vital municipal and tourism assets across the region.

Investors will develop the beautiful Barka waterfront and the Wadi Al Maawil markets. The governorate achieved a remarkable 78 percent score on the overall performance index.

Workers paved 215 kilometers of internal roads across the local states recently. They also completed the second phase of the Ain Al-Kasfa tourism project.

Digital Upgrades and Future Projects

The governorate simplified and digitized many public services via its electronic portal. Officials activated the national Tajawob platform to handle citizen suggestions and complaints efficiently.

Looking ahead, the governorate plans to build a strategic road leading to Wakan village. This 46-kilometer project includes 27 box culverts to reduce flood damage.

Workers will also complete the Al-Musannah waterfront and develop several commercial neighborhoods.
