Stranded Pakistani ship rescued off Oman’s coastline

Muscat: The Royal Oman Navy has rescued a Pakistani ship that suffered a technical failure in its engines and was stranded.

A statement issued online by Ministry of Defense (MoD) said, "The Royal Navy of Oman carried out a rescue operation for a boom boat, carrying the Pakistani flag, that suffered a technical failure in its engines 50 nautical miles northeast of the city of Muscat, in coordination with the Maritime Security Centre and the Search and Rescue Centre of the Royal Air Force of Oman."

"The technical teams of one of the ships of the Royal Navy of Oman's fleet began to provide the necessary technical support to the Pakistani ship, and provided the necessary supplies for the ship's crew. The ship was then towed to Sultan Qaboos Port in Muscat Governorate," the statement added.
