Woman arrested with 1,253 tablets from buraimi

The Directorate General for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances arrested an Oman woman with 1,253 tablets containing psychotropic substances in the Governorate of Buraimi.

She was arrested on the charges of possessing and trafficking drugs, the ROP tweeted.

Legal action has been initiated against the woman and the case has referred to the Public Prosecution.

The ROP has called upon citizens and residents to report any information that will help to identify drug smugglers and traffickers on 9999 or to the nearest police station.
