Woman threatened to kill her husband on live radio show in Oman

A woman who made death threats to her husband on live radio has been arrested, Royal Oman Police (ROP) confirmed.

"A woman was arrested for threatening to kill her husband on a private radio station," a source at ROP said.

The suspect is being investigated on charges of attempted murder.

"Threating to murder is a felony, and the suspect has been refered to the Public Prosecution," the source at ROP said.

The husband has asked for her to pay OMR100,000 to waive charges of attempted murder, public insult and defamation of his reputation.

Article 109 of Oman's penal code states that attempted murder carries a sentence of 10 years.
