Khoula Hospital to Build Advanced Lung Disease Unit
The Ministry of Health signed an important funding agreement today. Al Yusr Charitable Foundation provided 560,000 Omani Rials for this project.
Officials will establish an integrated lung disease unit at Khoula Hospital.

Dr Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Alawi directs Khoula Hospital. He signed the agreement with Omar bin Mohammed Al-Farsi.
Al-Farsi directs the Al Yusr Charitable Foundation. This exciting project supports the ambitious Oman Vision 2040 goals.
The new unit will expand specialized respiratory health services significantly.
Boosting Diagnostic Accuracy
Dr Al-Alawi called this project a vital strategic step. Doctors will use modern technologies to diagnose respiratory diseases accurately.
He expects the unit to begin operations early next year. This facility will reduce waiting times for patients tremendously.
The new center increases diagnostic accuracy and accelerates treatment procedures. Rapid treatment prevents serious medical complications and improves patient safety.
High-Tech Medical Facilities
Al-Farsi stated this cooperation embodies true social responsibility. His foundation loves supporting local health initiatives across the Sultanate.
The unit will diagnose and treat sleep disorders effectively. It features a micro-bronchoscopy room and a respiratory efficiency laboratory.
Specialist doctors and nurses from Khoula and Al Nahda hospitals will staff the center.
