Oman announces Eid holidays for public and private sector

Eid Al Fitr holidays for private and public sectors have been announced by the Oman government.  

According to Oman's news agency, Eid holidays will start from June 14 to June 18 for public sector employees. Work will resume on June 19, 2018. 

For the private sectors also holidays were announced, with H.E Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Power, issued saying that the holidays for private sector employees will begin on Thursday, June 14 and end on Monday, June 18. Work will resume on June 19, 2018. 

"The decision points out that employers and employees may agree to compensate for the leave if necessary, and workers who coincide with their weekly leave should be compensated during the holiday," the statement quoted by Times of Oman added.
