Snowfall in Jabal Shams

Muscat: Unusually this year, snow fell in Jabal Shams early on Thursday morning with temperatures falling below 5 degrees.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency said: "Jabal Shams in Al Hamra recorded the lowest temperature in Oman, reaching 4 degrees."

Abu Tuki Al Khatri, living in Jabal Shams, said: “ Heavy snow fell heavily on Jabal Shams this morning due to low temperatures.”
