Over 50 illegal migrants deported, 47 arrested

A total of 59 illegal migrants were deported, while 47 were arrested last week, in cooperation with other military and security authorities, Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.

The accused, according to authorities, belonged to different nationalities.

According to ROP’s statement online, “Some of the infiltrators were arrested for entering the country illegally, while some were deported to their countries after taking the necessary legal action”.

ROP has called on the community to join hands and cooperate with them to stop this phenomenon by immediately reporting these cases, either by calling 9999 or by going to the nearest police station.
