5. Old Muttrah Souq

You can't visit an Arab country without spending a little time haggling in souqs.

Muscat's main souq is a little different to most, however.

For starters everything has a price tag. But perhaps of most relief to weary westerners - you won't get hassled much, if at all by sellers.

From clothing to sweets, silverware to scarves you can buy pretty much anything here.
