Wakan Village

Several mountain valleys and passes are visible through the road that leads to the village. Owing to the ruggedness of the the road in its important parts, one needs to have a four wheel drive  to reach there.  The road from this area to the Wilayat of Nakhal was paved recently located at the Al Wadi hospital and schools of Wadi Mistal. Due to the ruggedness of the towering cliffs, the rest of the mountainous part is not paved yet.

To facilitate the movement of tourists and farmers between agricultural fields and homes located down those fields , visitors  cross the road to get to the highest peak in the valley and then march on foot to the terraces built by the Ministry of Tourism despite the challenges and have a great time over there.The village is known well for its famous tower, which is an archaeological landmark and hence historical by all means. The village development project had the tower restored properly. A real panoramic view with rich natural beauty could be enjoyed by the tourists while overlooking the Wadi Mistal villages from the tower. Agriculture is the main activity carried out by the villagers mostly.
