5. Iron Man 3 – $409 Million

Iron Man 3 was an incredibly huge hit at the box office which is kind of sad simply because it wasn’t nearly as good as the first film…maybe it’s better than the second…maybe.

Either way, this film, in only its domestic take, made $409 million! That’s incredible. Sure, it cost many millions to make the film, for sure. But it’s pretty crazy to think that Iron Man means that much to people.

That being said, no matter how much money Robert Downey Jr. keeps asking for because he’s such a high profile actor, Iron Man is still going to pale in comparison to how much Spider-Man makes for Marvel. I mean, Iron Man has had three solo films, plus three Avengers films, plus appearances in other Marvel films, but it can never pull in the same money Spider-Man has been able to do since the very beginning.
