DFA to Introduce Walk-in Passport Application Policy for OFWs

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that they are launching an approach to accelerate passport applications of overseas Filipinos workers at their regional offices. With the newly introduced policy OFWs will be able to file for application at the regional offices without the requirement for a prior appointment. 

CNN Philippines reported that "The president's request to cut down lines failed to be noticed by DFA officials in some far-flung places like Davao, Zamboanga, and Legazpi, where a few reports have reached recruitment industry that appointments are made through under the table.Through the new strategy introduced, recruitment agency will have the capacity to endorse OFW candidates to be appointed in all the 32 regional offices of the DFA".
