Disturbing Video Shows Father Brutally Thrashing & Kicking His 10-YO Son For Lying

As a community, we have often questioned the rights of parents, teachers, and elders to slap kids - there never seems a pertinent reason. While all of us have been slapped multiple times by our parents, what we see these days on television is nothing short of an assault. 

In a recent video that's making rounds on the internet, a father from Bengaluru can be seen thrashing his 10-year-old son for lying. The video, which was shot by the kid's mother, the 30-year-old man can be seen kicking, throwing the kid in the air, slapping, and whipping over and over.

His son can be seen pleading, crying and begging his father to stop, but nothing falls on his deaf ears. He even tells him that he will never lie, but the father keeps kicking him. He hits him with his belt, lifts him in the air and throws back on the bed, slams him on the floor. 

The incident came to light when the mother gave her phone for repair at the service centre and they found this clip. It was the service centre individual who saw this video and immediately informed an NGO. A case has been registered against the father at the Kengeri Police Station. 

While it is necessary for kids to be punished once in a while, to educate them about the right values, it is extremely unpleasant and terrible for parents to chose this course of action. This video is not just gruesome and hard to watch, it also raises a very grave question - why was the mother filming this incident? Why did she not jump to the child's rescue? If the guy repairing her mobile hadn't seen it, this incident would never have come to anyone's notice. If you ever see someone assaulting a kid near you, kindly report to the police.
