Kuwait Will Keep on Putting Efforts to Resolve Gulf Crisis
Reading out a letter from the emir to the Kuwaiti parliament, Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq al-Ghanim said Kuwait's position as a "real mediator from within the Gulf concerned about settling the crisis among the brothers and not a third party". The emir in his message said "on that aim and genuine approach we will remain and proceed" to work out on resolving the crisis.
The emir has reaffirmed the significance of "not being drifted emotionally in regards to the crisis among brothers in the Gulf and ending any political or media abuse, either in the Gulf row or any other party", the speaker said.
Sheik Sabah is concerned about taking decisions to ensure the stability and security of Kuwait and he asked MPs to look for measures to protect the nation from any harm as cited in gulf-times.
The speaker said the emir has focused on the significance of keeping up national solidarity and cohesion on the domestic front, completely dismissing any sectarian, tribal or sectoral arrangement, or a political talk that could raise ethical or denominational hatred or aversion.
Al-Ghanim underlined that different meetings would soon take after " during the dangerous and accelerating developments occurring in the area, making it an absolute necessity for us to stand as a solid wall behind the emir".
Al-Ghanim focused on the significance of maintaining distance from "rumors, and all that could hurt security and stability of Kuwait, and the region.
