OFW in Jeddah Abused By Employer, Spews Blood in a Video

The relatives in the Philippines of an Overseas Filipino Worker in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was really worried after knowing that she was being maltreated by her employer.

Chona Puebla was crying when she asked for help to rescue her relative in Jeddah who was allegedly abused by employer.

She last had talks with her relative last week ever since the victim started work in Jeddah last January 2017.

In their last conversation, her cousin was asking for help because she already can’t take more beatings from her female employer who is a Saudi National.

According to Puebla, her cousin started working on her employer about a month ago and she already received some beatings.

Her cousin also lost weight that she can’t even recognize her in one glance.

In a video which was taken through a mobile phone, it can be seen that the victim is spewing blood.

“Sinasaktansiyakontingpagkaka-ano. ‘Yung nakaraanngadawtinulak, kasi 4th floor ‘yungbahay,  itinulaksahagdanan. Butinakahawakkundipataynapinsanko, nakakaawa,” says Puebla.

Her employer even brought her the hospital after the OFW’s body almost gave up because of the beatings. But after she recovered, she was brought back to her employer’s house as if nothing happened.

“Ginaganoonlang ng ibangtao, pabayaanlang din ng agency nilakumitanakasisila. Ayawkolangpoiuwi ‘yungpinsankoditonabangkayna.Mahirapnaman ‘yun, sir bagahena.Maayosumalis, pag-uwibagahena,” says Puebla.

Puebla also asked for help from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration regarding the case of her cousin.
