OFW in Saudi Arabia Not Allowed to Board Plane by PAL, Claims OFW Needs Medical Attention

Recently, a post made on social media by a certain Prinsipe Min Jay broke the hearts of many upon seeing one Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) on a wheelchair who is in dire need for medical attention.

According to the post, the OFW who was identified as Asnia Rashed Dumato was working in Saudi Arabia.  At the airport, she was held at the airport and was not allowed by Philippine Airlines to board because she needs medication. It was then not clear why she was not allowed to ride on the plane.

Based on the comments of the netizens who claimed to know her, she had been maltreated by her employer that’s why she can’t walk for being weak.  Some of them assumed that she was raped and threatened not to say what actually happened to her as her eyes showed so much pain and fear. Some even said that she was no longer in proper state of mind as she cannot express herself well and was unable to answer accurately.

Meanwhile, as seen on the video, a fellow Filipino and some Arabian men offered help by bringing her to the hospital.  However, there have been various comments from the netizens which as of this writing, it wasn’t established whether there is truth in each comment.

Apparently, some netizens said that she was brought to the hospital and was already being monitored by the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia.  On the other hand, one netizen said she was brought to her employer’s place instead.

Taking into consideration that she was brought to the place of her employer’s relative instead of the hospital, many among the netizens fear for her life amidst many cases of OFWs who were already cold dead when repatriated to the Philippines.

Netizens then appealed to the Philippine Embassy and RaffyTulfo in Action to look closely on the case of Dumato before it may be too late.

Dumato who hailed from Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat is only 23 years old.
