Philippines Passports With 10 Years Validity to Be Issued From January 2018

Philippines Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano announced on Wednesday, October 25 that Philippines passports with a validity of 10 years will be available from January next year.

 

 

He said that the next two months will be enough to inform the world about the 10 years validity passport availability. He added that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is looking for approaches to enhance the passport arrangement in the nation, first step being issuing passports with 10 year validity.

Cayetano said that there will be no change in the charge for a 10-year passport, it will continue to be equal to the charge for the current five-year passport. 

He said that first-time or returning OFW, and in addition their parents and kids under the age of 7 years, senior citizens, and people with disabilities will be accommodated through an assigned walk-in courtesy paths in the passport office premises.
