Qatar Refers 6000 Complaints on Siege to Law Firms
The Compensation Claims Committee (CCC), set up by Qatar to handle complaints from those individuals and entities affected by the ongoing siege imposed on the country, has began to refer 6,297 complaints to local and international law firms, said various reports.
The committee has been, and still, receiving complaints directly and those transferred from agencies like National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) and Qatar Chamber (QC). NHRC till date has handed over a total of 3,745 complaints to CCC. The QC has transferred a total 296 complaints from businesses and preparing to transfer more in the coming days.
The CCC has also directly received complaints on losing properties and investments, studies being affected and various other issues. It has registered around 5,000 complaints electronically. Those affected can file their complaints at the headquarters of the committee at Al Nakheel Tower.
