Video: Saudi family bid emotional farewell to maid of 33 years
A Filipina domestic help has bid farewell to her employer after 33 years of service.
In a video which has been shared across Twitter and Facebook, the maid can be seen being escorted to the airport by her employer's family. It was an emotional farewell, with both the Saudi family and the maid breaking down in tears.
According to the Filipino Times, the domestic help was escorted by the Saudi family before she boarded a flight back home to the Philippines. A series of videos of the event was posted by a certain Anthony Enriquez on Facebook. The Facebook post reveals that the anonymous Filipina maid looked after two generations of the Saudi family, as well their wards.
The video also shows the domestic help in a wheelchair.
The videos posted by Enriquez have since gained the attention of Saudi media. Saudi journalist Khalid Al Zaidan shared the video on Twitter and said: "It is worth noting that she had contributed to the service of their daughters, their children and their children's children. These few snapshots show the final moment of loyalty and good faith," Al Arabiya said in a report.
