Viral Saudi video clip shows kingdom conquering Tehran

A Saudi animation warning Iran of retaliation in the event of a military strike against the Saudi kingdom has gone viral after being shared on social media platforms, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, MEMRI.

The video depicts a Saudi aid ship in the “Arabian Gulf” which finds itself under attack by Iranian speedboats. Responding to the attack, a Saudi frigate destroys the incoming Iranian boats and in retaliation, the Saudi army strikes Iran by air, land, and sea.

The video culminates in a mass celebration in Azadi Square in Tehran, in which posters of the Saudi Crown Prince and Saudi flags are raised.

“To reach the Qibla of the Muslims is a main target for the Iranian regime. We will not wait until the fight is in Saudi Arabia. We will bring the fight to Iran,” declares the animated Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic relations with Iran in January 2016 after Iranian demonstrators attacked Saudi diplomatic missions in response to the Saudi execution of a prominent Shiite dissident cleric.

The video appears to be a response to a clip published by the Iranians in early 2017 showing a “Yemeni” missile attack on Saudi Arabia, MEMRI said.

In the Iranian clip missiles are fired at the facilities of the Saudi Aramco oil company. In the Saudi movie it is Saudi “Eastern Winds” missiles that destroy the Iranian Bushehr nuclear plant.

Likewise, the Iranian video includes posters of the crown prince on billboards in Jeddah with the Saudi movie depicting similar posters at the celebration rally in Azadi Square.
