Justina Shiroka Pula Executes Historic Victory To Become President Of Kosovo
A Monumental Democratic Transition
The House of Representatives in Kosovo executed a phenomenal, historic democratic transition today. Parliament members officially elected Justina Shiroka-Pula as the spectacular new President of Kosovo. Prime Minister Albin Kurti aggressively nominated the highly respected leader for the position. She successfully received 81 votes in a highly tense, late-night parliamentary ballot. The voting process began just minutes before the strict October 6 legal deadline. Officials flawlessly completed the monumental political process shortly after midnight. Shiroka-Pula brings a massive wealth of political and academic experience to the presidency.
Breaking Phenomenal Historic Barriers
She previously served as the Minister of Energy and Mining in Kosovo from 2008. She represented the Liberal Democratic Party of Kosovo from 2011 to 2014. Since last December, she headed the prestigious Academy of Sciences and Arts in Kosovo. Her election marks a monumental moment, making her the first woman to hold this position. The presidency had remained completely vacant since Fyusa Osmani’s term ended last April. Subsequent aggressive attempts to elect a successor within the specified timeframe had failed. Not enough members of parliament attended previous sessions to legally choose a replacement.
Stabilizing The Eastern European Nation
Kosovo’s constitution dictates that at least 80 members must attend to elect a president. Her successful election restores absolute, phenomenal political stability to the developing Eastern European nation.
