Legendary playback singer SP Balabubrahmanyam no more

Muscat: Well-known playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on Friday almost three weeks after recovering from COVID-19. He had been hospitalised and doctors had said his condition was "extremely critical" on Thursday as the singer continued to be on life support.

He had been admitted to the MGM Healthcare hospital in Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu on August 5. Indian media reported that his son SP Charan, announced to the gathered media that his father passed away at 1.04 PM.
