Police Arrest Man in Makkah for Fake Hajj Permit Scams

Police in Makkah recently arrested a man for posting fake Hajj advertisements. These deceptive ads promised illegal permits to enter the Holy Sites.

Social Media Scams and Prosecution

The Egyptian national offered fake Hajj services and permits on social media. Security forces arrested him and stopped his illegal online activities.

Police referred the suspect to the Public Prosecution for his severe crimes.

Strict New Hajj Season Rules

Earlier, Saudi authorities announced strict new rules for the upcoming Hajj season. These crucial regulations protect the safety of all visiting pilgrims.

The government now severely restricts entry into the holy city of Makkah. Visitors without a local residency permit require a special Hajj permit.

Relevant authorities demand this specific document for entry between April 13 and May 31.

Reporting Illegal Activities

Saudi officials strongly urge the public to follow all Hajj regulations. They ask citizens to report any illegal violations or scams immediately.

Residents must call 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province. People in the rest of the Kingdom should dial 999.
