Best performing companies in Oman to be honoured

A function to honour the best performing companies will be held on Monday.

The award function is being organised by the Alam al Iktisaad magazine. The ceremony will be held at the Sheraton Hotel under the patronage of Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The companies will be honoured on the basis of the results of an annual survey carried out by the magazine in cooperation with Gulf Baader Capital Markets (GBCM), which targets the public shareholding companies, according to the results of the financial performance of the companies for the fiscal year ended 2016.

The award is divided into three categories, namely for large capital companies with capital of more than OMR75 million, medium capital companies with a capital of between OMR25 million and OMR27 million, and the small capital companies, with capital of less than OMR25 million.

The award is widely recognised by public shareholding companies. It aims to enhance competitiveness through the companies' interest in the results of the survey, which may contribute to enhancing the performance of the companies and improving their performance.
