Oman shares gain on better activity

Shares on the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) edged up with the general index marginally gaining 1.44 points to close at 5,090.15 points.

The market turnover touched OMR3.01 million and 10.79 shares were traded on the bourse. The market turnover inched down by 0.07 per cent to OMR17.82 billion.

The value of shares bought by non-Omani investors stood at OMR744,000, comprising 24.67 per cent of total trade. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached OMR1,000,000, showing 33.17 per cent.

The major gainers included Ooredoo Oman, Al Anwar Holding, Oman United Insurance, Oman Investment and Finance, Al Jazeera Services and Oman Flour Mills.
