Liverpool Ready to Take on Manchester City in Premier League Clash

The provided news said that Liverpool would face Manchester City at Anfield in one of the most awaited matchups of the English Premier League on Sunday. The title race is still on and both clubs will be eager for a big result.

Manchester City go into the contest at the top of the rankings with 15 points from five wins. Liverpool are still unbeaten after five matches – two wins and three draws, giving them nine points and a sixth place ranking.

Liverpool will look to exploit their home advantage to cut the gap at the top of the league. Meanwhile, Manchester City will be looking to continue their 100% record and extend their grip at the summit.

Both teams have had injury worries coming into the encounter. Liverpool are awaiting news on Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo who returned from international duty for medical checks having picked up injuries.

Manchester City are also monitoring Erling Haaland’s fitness after the striker begged to be taken off in Norway’s last game. Phil Foden is suspended and scheduled to miss the game.

Arsenal, meanwhile, visit Leeds United on Saturday as they attempt to bounce back from a 3-0 setback to Brighton. Arsenal sit second on 12 points but Kai Havertz’s fitness is still a worry.

Manchester United are at home to Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. United are 12th with five points while Tottenham are bottom with two points and still waiting for their first win.

Chelsea will host Bournemouth in an attempt to build on recent form. There are further matchups including Sunderland v Brighton, Ipswich Town v Fulham, Aston Villa v Brentford, Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest, Hull City v Everton and Coventry City v Newcastle United.
