3 held for knife attacks in Ruwi area of Muscat

 Three citizens have been arrested in connection with armed robberies in the Ruwi area, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

“The Department of Criminal Investigation led by the police in the province of Muscat arrested three citizens on charges of looting and the use of white weapons (knives) as threats against two people of Asian nationality in the area of Ruwi in wilayat of Muttrah,” the ROP said. 

The source confirmed that the suspects transported the two victims in their vehicle and began robbing them under the threat of a knife.

“The search and investigation efforts resulted in the arrest of the accused who confessed to the crime. They were referred to Public Prosecution to complete the investigation in order to bring them to justice,” the ROP stated.
