Storm petrels

These birds are relatives of pertels and are the smallest known seabirds. While hovering, they hunt the planktonic crustaceans and small fish caught from the river surface. It has a bat like flight which flutters always.About 4 out of 20 species of this bird is found in Oman as an element in the country’s ecosystem. Certain examples include Swinhoe’s storm petrel and Wilson’s storm petrel.
