Expat arrested in Oman over brutal murder

 An Asian national was murdered and his body dumped in a well, Royal Oman Police have revealed.

"The perpetrator threw the body of the victim in an abandoned well in Wilayat Mahdha to hide the crime," an officer from Royal Oman Police said.

Al Buraimi police, represented by the Department of Investigation and Criminal Investigation, revealed details of the murder against an Asian person in Al Buraimi.

"On September 3, a report on the disappearance of the victim. A research and investigation team was formed. An Asian national was arrested on suspicion of connection to the disappearance of the victim. Faced with the evidence and his relationship to the victim, the suspect confessed to his murder," an official source in the ROP said.

"The accused guided the investigation team to the abandoned well in the state of Mahdah, in which the suspect disposed of the body of the victim. The body was found to have stab wounds, from white weapons (knives)," the official added.
