The 11th International Conference on Recent Developments in Geographic Information concluded successfully today. The Ministry of Education organized the major event in Salalah alongside key academic partners. The University of Technology Malaysia and Dhofar University participated heavily in the prestigious gathering. The conference issued several vital recommendations regarding the future of national spatial data. Experts recommended developing the second phase of the digital educational atlas for the Sultanate. They also pushed for enhancing rapid innovation within modern geographic technologies across the country.

The conference also called for establishing a specialized Omani association for geographic technologies.
