Hilton named great place to work in Saudi Arabia

DUBAI, UAE – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has climbed two places on the Great Place to Work UAE list, coming in 7th place this year.

Great Place to Work® is a global research, training and consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 50 countries worldwide. Hilton’s result in the UAE follows recent successes for the company at Saudi Arabia and UK Great Place to Work ceremonies.

Celebrating the announcement at a gala ceremony in Dubai on Wednesday, William Costley, Area Vice President of Arabian Peninsula & Turkey, Hilton said, “We are delighted to have climbed two places and reached a rank of #7 this year. Our Team Members are at the heart of everything we do, and their hard work, passion and commitment are at the core of our success. The UAE is an important market for Hilton and this Great Place to Work achievement is a testament to the amazing culture we’ve built together.”

Last year, Hilton launched its new value proposition, Thrive@Hilton. Through initiatives such as building in time to recharge during the workday, sabbaticals and modern tools for increasing recognition, the scheme enables Team Members to flourish in body, mind and spirit, ultimately supporting the company’s continued success and help attract top talent.

As a global hospitality company serving guests in 105 countries and territories, Hilton also encourages its Team Members to explore the world of progression opportunities available across the globe.

Hilton also offers industry-leading learning and development opportunities to Team Members including access to Hilton University, an online platform offering more than five million hours of training through 2,500 courses. In addition, Hilton offers Team Members world-class rewards and benefits such as the Team Member Travel Programme which allows all Team Members discounted rates at Hilton’s hotels.

Hilton is committed to achieving diversity and aims to increase the number of females in leadership positions. For example, Hilton is holding a series of ‘Women in Leadership’ conferences for its female Team Members across the region. Female Team Members from across the country gathered at the UAE edition of the conference, which took place in September 2017.

Hilton currently welcomes guests to 22 properties in the UAE and plans to develop 23 further hotels.
