His Majesty frees Omani and expat prisoners ahead of Eid holiday

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has released 192 inmates to join their families or Eid, according to a statement by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

"On the occasion of Eid Al Adha 1438, His Majesty the Sultan issued a special amnesty for 192 inmates convicted of various cases," the ROP said.

According to an official source at the ROP, 192 inmates were given amnesty, of which "84 of them were foreign nationals".

The High Pardon comes from His Majesty the Supreme Leader coinciding with the occasion of Eid Al- Adha and taking into account the families of these inmates.
