Ministry opens new stretch of highway in Oman

 A 36 km long stretch of the Taqah-Mirbat road has been opened: Ministry of Transport and Communication today.

The dual road project includes the implementation of the dualisation of the road for a length of 36 km, with three flyovers, three tunnels for cars and 11 tunnels for animal crossing, as well as 150 metre long Khor Rori bridge.
 

"The Ministry of transport and communications (MOTC) opened today Taqah-Mirbat road dualisation project for traffic, which long 36 km," the ministry announced.

The dualisation road project also includes 22 km of service roads, lighting on the central divider with metal barriers on both sides, and the implementation of all traffic signs and safety precautions, as well as water drainage facilities.
