New 17-kms stretch of Al Batinah Expressway opens

A vital part of the Al Batinah Expressway Project, starting from Al Hazm in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq in South Batinah Governorate and reaching Al Suwaiq Governorate in North Batinah Province for a length of 17 km was inaugurated by the Ministry of Transport and Communications this morning.
 

This opening is an extension of the previously opened part of the Halban-Hazm stretch.



The Batinah Expressway will start at the end of the Muscat Expressway and continue till Khatmat Malaha in wilayat Shinas, and will have a total length of 272 kilometres.

The project includes a number of intersections to meet the traffic needs of wilayats in the South and North Al Batinah Governorates.
