Newborn baby among family missing in Oman flash flood

Six individuals from a family from Maharashtra's Beed locale have been swept away in blaze floods in Oman.

The setback happened on Saturday when the group of Khairulla Khan, a resigned instructor in Beed's Majalgaon, was on a visit to Wadi Bani Khalid, a popular visitor goal, 126 kilometers from Oman's capital Muscat, an authority said. 

"Khan, his better half Shabana, their little girl in-law Arshi and three grandkids, including a 28-day-elderly person, had gone to Oman where his senior child Sardar Fazal Ahmed has been filling in as a drug specialist throughout the previous two years," Inspector SA Sayyad of Majalgaon police headquarters said Monday.

He said the family had gone to Wadi Bani Khalid in Sardar's vehicle. 

"When they achieved the spot, they experienced substantial precipitation and tempest. The vehicle couldn't be driven further because of downpour and exhaust cloud and the family opened one of the entryways of the vehicle in their offer to get away," he said. 

Be that as it may, as the entryway opened, Sardar's four-year-old girl Sidra fell into the water. 

"He bounced into the water to safeguard her however he proved unable. A huge spout of water tossed the whole family out of the vehicle, every one of them disappearing soon after," Sayyad said.

He said Sardar figured out how to make due by clutching the part of a palm tree. He at that point figured out how to achieve higher ground where he endeavored to orchestrate help. 

Addressing media in Oman, Sardar stated, "At first we had thought it was a radiant day and we left for Wadi. However, when we came to there, I saw individuals leaving the spot in a rush. Before we could understand what was the issue, it began raining intensely," he said.
