Oman Annual Dates Fest to Begin on This Date

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fishers has announced that the Oman's 5th annual Dates Festival will start from 23rd October and would involve couple of workshops to boost the quality of dates with a date souq.

The General Authority for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises viz. Riyada is the cooperating partner with the Ministry to conduct the event as it is one of the most important events conducted by the Sultanate annually.

As a way to portray the importance of dates in Oman, a photography exhibition will be held  in the Muscat Grand Mall from October 23rd to 24th to launch the festival

An exhibition for companies working in the domain of packaging, steaming and supplying dates from October 27th to 31st  has been organised by the ministry in Nizwa apart from the dates souq.

In addition to this, a number of workshops have been  planned by the ministry  which targets the involved attendees and businesses

The final day of the festival would honour the participants and the ‘Nakahlati’ contest winner.
