Oman Customs Seizes Illegal Alcohol and Tobacco in Sohar

Oman Customs successfully raided a local property and two vehicles in Sohar recently. Officers confiscated huge quantities of illegal alcoholic beverages and chewing tobacco products.

Cracking Down on Illegal Sales

The Compliance and Risk Assessment Department coordinated this massive inspection operation. Authorities caught a citizen storing and selling these illegal goods locally.

The suspect completely violated applicable national commercial laws. Officers seized exactly 743 bottles of alcoholic beverages during the raid.

They also confiscated massive amounts of prohibited chewing tobacco.
