Traditional survey methods require massive amounts of time and manual effort. This new digital transformation saves valuable resources across the entire department. The project provides integrated data regarding consumer spending patterns and changing demographics. Planners use this vital data to calculate the consumer price index accurately. Halima bint Yousef Al-Wahaibiya directs the Population and Labor Force Statistics Department. She also manages this specific artificial intelligence survey project. She reviewed the most prominent outcomes during the public presentation today. The data shows significant financial growth for families living in Oman. The average monthly income for an Omani family reached 1,839 Omani riyals in 2025.

Guiding Future Economic Policies

This represents an 18.5 percent increase compared to the previous 2018 figures. Meanwhile, the average income for an expatriate family reached 717 Omani riyals. This marks a 7.3 percent increase for expatriate residents over the same period. The total average monthly expenditure for Omani families hit 1,058 Omani riyals. Expatriate families showed an average monthly expenditure of 402 Omani riyals. This new data directly supports the long-term goals of Oman Vision 2040. The government relies on accurate financial statistics to build sustainable economic policies. Authorities plan to expand the use of artificial intelligence in future statistical research.
