Oman Pushes for Global Diplomacy at 4th Minsk Security Conference

A High-Level Global Summit

The Sultanate of Oman is making its diplomatic voice heard on the global stage. An Omani delegation participated in the highly anticipated 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security in Belarus. His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the delegation. He was joined by Sheikh Nasser bin Sulaiman Al Harthy, Oman's accredited ambassador to Belarus. The high-level conference provided participating sovereign states with a comprehensive picture of the current global security landscape.

Focusing on Non-Proliferation

Global leaders at the conference focused aggressively on building trust and reducing international confrontation. Key sessions discussed multilateral cooperation, international disarmament oversight, and non-proliferation efforts. They also tackled emerging threats to collective security driven by new technological paradigms. The Omani delegation held several strategic meetings on the sidelines to boost bilateral relations. Sheikh Abdul Aziz met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenov to discuss rapidly evolving political developments in Eurasia and the Middle East. Both nations strongly emphasized prioritizing diplomacy and avoiding all forms of military escalation.

Expanding Trade and Culture

The delegation did not stop at security talks. Sheikh Abdul Aziz met with Mikhail Barisevich, Director General of the Belarusian National Export Promotion Centre. They reviewed practical ways to enhance trade exchange, activate direct logistics services, and strengthen banking cooperation. Cultural diplomacy also took center stage during a visit to the National Library of Belarus to meet Director General Vadzim Zhigin.
