Oman second at Arab level on education index


The index measures the practical adoption of the cooperative education polices among the different countries by implementing international programmes and system, approving, licencing international higher education institutions, promoting quality culture in higher education institutions in a bid to ensure that national institutions meet international quality requirements.

The report hailed the role played by the Sultanate’s government in subsidising the private sector to help it play an active role in the national development. The private higher education institutions play a key role in creating education opportunities for students by providing a number of programmes that serve the community, such as the professional, technical, administrative and language programmes, especially these institutions are linked to international universities to ensure quality of the institutions and their programmes.
 

 

The report pointed out that the national government now realises the benefits of international openness of their education, economic and social systems.

The report aims at measuring the government subsidy for higher education at the regulatory framework that supports international cooperation. The report is based on more than 1400 indices.
