Driving test rules changed in Oman. Royal Oman Police's top cop has announced: Male drivers will soon be able to apply for an automatic transmission driver's licence
Brigadier Eng. Mohammed bin Awad Al Rawas, Director General of Traffic said in a statement that the decision came after "demands from the community to allow everyone to obtain a driving license to choose between automatic transmission or normal".
No expat bachelor accomodation in residential areas of Muscat.The civic authorities in Muscat have raided a bachelor accommodation in South Mawelah as it violated the Article 31 of the local order 23/92 that prohibits workers’ housing in residential areas. The raid was conducted in coordination with Public Prosecution and Royal Oman Police (ROP).
All taxis should have meters with the fares to be determined by the authorities, said the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), which issued a ministerial order regulating the activities of taxi operators and car rental services under the Land Transport Law.
The Ministry of Health has announced a ban on the trade of certain herbal medicine products from the market, that contain chemicals which could lead to a heart attack or even death.
The four medicine products are: Shark Extract Tablets, Vimax Capsules, Kamagra Oral Jelly and Dragon's Delay Spray.
