Oman Air has added a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to its fleet. The wide-bodied Boeing 787-9 is a stretched version of the advanced long-range twin engine B787-8. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is configured with 30 award-winning flat-bed Business Class suites, designed by BE Aerospace and 258 Economy Class seats, stated a press release.

The first trial run of a flight from the new Muscat International Airport will take place on December 23, announced the Minister of Transport and Communications at the 11th edition of the 2017 Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Exchange forum, which will continue until Thursday.

The Sultanate's highest mountain range Jebel Shams recorded a minimum temperature of -1 degree on Tuesday, according to the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre, which monitors weather conditions in Oman. "It is really freezing cold at night," said an official of a resort at Jebel Shams.

Minister of Manpower Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri said that the goal of creating 25,000 jobs for Omani nationals would be met by focussing on the private sector.
Al Bakri has offered a blueprint on how the government would generate the jobs during a meeting with media personnel.
