Omani couple passed away in Georgia

An Omani couple passed away in Georgia on Thursday, the Omani Embassy in Ankara announced.

However, no details about the cause of death was made available.
 

In a statement, the embassy said: " The Omani Embassy in Ankara has followed up [on] the death of a citizen and his wife on Thursday in Georgia." Adding that they have taken "all measures from [finding out] the cause of death to [completing] the repatriation procedures in coordination with the embassy of Qatar in Georgia."

But, due to the weekend, there was a delay in the transfer of the mortal remains of the couple.

The embassy said, "However, the repatriation procedures coincided with the weekend, delaying the repatriation of the bodies to the Sultanate as a result of a final measure, namely, the ratification of all documents by the authorities in Georgia."
