Omani ’Hear Me’ Initiative Wins Major Ethics Award in Qatar

The Omani Hear Me initiative won a prestigious regional award today. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth proudly runs this wonderful program.

The team secured the 2026 Akhlaquna Award in Doha, Qatar. The Qatar Foundation organizes this event to promote strong community values.

They specifically honored the team for excellent GCC individual contributions.

Empowering People Who Stutter

Hear Me operates as a dedicated non-profit community initiative. The group actively empowers people who stutter across the Sultanate.

Members work hard to spread vital stuttering awareness within society. Stuttering affects roughly one percent of the entire global population.

This speech condition impacts nearly 80 million people worldwide today.

Rapid Growth and Expert Training

Organizers started this unique initiative with just three members initially. They launched the first Omani program of its kind during early 2020.

Today, the thriving community includes over 200 diverse male and female members. Program trainers traveled abroad to complete advanced speech control courses.

They successfully earned official Training of Trainers certificates. These experts now provide highly specialized, quality programs locally.

A History of Major Awards

The initiative boasts an impressive history of winning major awards. The National Human Rights Committee formally recognized their amazing work in 2022.

The team proudly represented Oman at the 2024 Beirut Volunteer Award. Judges named them among the top ten Arab world initiatives then.

They also won the prestigious Youth Excellence Award in 2025.

Amplifying Voices That Matter

Yaqoub bin Nasser Al-Nu’mani successfully leads the Hear Me initiative. He proudly celebrated this exciting new Qatari award today.

He says this honor adds another massive achievement to their record. This victory sends a very clear, powerful message to everyone.

People who stutter possess highly influential and important voices. Society truly hears and values their unique contributions now.
