Omani soldier loses life during Dhofar relief operations

An Omani soldier died in an accident on Friday, June 1 in Dhofar.

According to officials, the soldier, Khalid Khamees Al Sawai, died after the vehicle he was driving lost control in Madinat Alhaq in the Wilayat of Taqah.

In a statement online, the National Committee for Civil Defence (NCCD) said, “Condolences to the family of the national duty martyr, soldier Khalid Khamees Al Sawai from the West Borders Battalion, who passed away while on duty, serving those affected by the cyclone that affected the Governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta recently.”
