Omani Youth Drive Community Development Through Volunteer Work
Omani youth actively support community development through dedicated volunteer work. They participate heavily in humanitarian, social, and environmental initiatives today.
These efforts enhance their national belonging and develop vital new skills.
Government Support and Digital Platforms
Hamoud bin Mardad Al-Shabibi advises the Minister of Social Development. He states the Ministry organizes and supervises volunteer teams rigorously.
The government issued strict regulations to govern charitable work efficiently. The Ministry also launched the Jood Charity Platform for digital donations.
This platform directs aid to needy families transparently and systematically. Sixty-four volunteer teams currently use the Jood platform.
The Ayadi platform also connects over 1,200 volunteers with 53 institutions.
Allocating Land for Charities
The Omani government allocated residential and commercial land for volunteers recently. Officials gave prime real estate to 65 different volunteer teams.
This land helps charities generate sustainable financial resources independently.
Remote Volunteering and Media Roles
Volunteer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Hajji promotes remote digital volunteer opportunities. He encourages young people to offer online consulting and translation services.
He also wants schools to integrate volunteering into the education system. Eman Al-Alawiya emphasizes the massive importance of proper media coverage.
The media must highlight youth success stories to inspire others. Publicizing societal impact strongly motivates volunteers to continue their generous giving.
