Oman’s new minister responds to request on Twitter

The newly appointed Minister of Social Development has interacted with a social media user who requested the Minister on Twitter to provide aid to poor citizens.

In his tweet, the user said, "Your Excellency, I have a list of names of citizens with weak roofs over their houses. I hope that these simple citizens will be given assistance as soon as possible. Also there is a group that needs intervention due to their bad social condition. Please have mercy on them."

Minister Laila bint Ahmed bin Awadh al-Najar replied in a tweet through her personal account and said, "Please deliver the data about these families to our office soon, thank you for your attention and your follow-up."

Dr. Laila Al-Najar was appointed last Tuesday as Minister of Social Development.
