South Al Sharqiyah Implements Major Development And Infrastructure Projects

The South Al Sharqiyah Governorate is currently witnessing rapid development activity. A package of development, service, and investment projects is actively underway. These projects embody the government’s efforts to develop vital local infrastructure. They aim to enhance the quality of life across multiple governorate sectors. The Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali is seeing significant road construction.

Expanding Transportation And Education Infrastructure

Crews are paving the commercial and coastal road in the Asilah area. This second phase of construction is currently 45 percent complete. The construction of internal roads in the coastal area is 60 percent finished. Waterfront development projects in Al-Ashkharah are also progressing steadily this year. The government is upgrading road efficiency in the local industrial area significantly.

In the education sector, several schools are undergoing restoration and maintenance work. The construction of a new 40-classroom school is 79 percent complete. Another school for girls is currently in the early stages of construction. The Al-Falah Hospital project has reached a 60 percent completion rate recently. In the agricultural sector, the Wadi Sal project is fully complete.

Supporting Fisheries And Environmental Conservation

Design work is underway to rehabilitate fish landing sites in several areas. The government is addressing sand deposition issues at the Al-Ashkharah fishing port. A major aquaculture project cultivating white-legged shrimp is fully operational. Environmental projects include the massive Ghaf tree nature reserve covering 130 square kilometers. Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan is also seeing internal road construction and maintenance.

Al Kamil and Al Wafi are experiencing development in tourism and agriculture. The smart farming project for vegetable production is fully complete and operational. A consultancy agreement was signed for a fisheries industrial city project.
